About this Product

Netzwerk A1 — German Vocabulary Practice is a complete, browser-based vocabulary trainer built around the Netzwerk A1 German textbook. It packs more than 1,600 German–English word entries — each with an example sentence, category, gender, and a memory tip — into a single fast web app that works on any device, with no account and no installation required.

Eight Ways to Practice

  • Flashcards — 3D flip cards with the German word, an example sentence, the translation, and a memory hint. Grade yourself with "I knew it / I didn't."
  • Quiz — 20 multiple-choice questions per round.
  • Matching — match 8 German/English pairs against the clock of your own patience.
  • Type It — type the English translation; umlauts and ß are forgiven automatically.
  • Fill-in-the-Blank — complete real example sentences.
  • Reference — a browsable, filterable glossary of every word.
  • Hardcore Mode — a timed test over an entire level, with a mistakes report and a dedicated "Practice Mistakes" round that repeats until you get everything right.
  • Chapter Hardcore — the ultimate test: every word in the chapter, timed.

Built to Keep You Coming Back

Progress is gamified with a running score, a streak counter, confetti celebrations, and a level-unlock system that releases new words 25 at a time as you master the previous set. Your chapter, score, and unlocked levels are saved in your browser, so you can pick up exactly where you left off.

Technical Highlights

The entire application is a single, dependency-free HTML file — pure vanilla JavaScript with zero frameworks. Vocabulary lives in a structured in-page database covering 12 chapters, and progress persists through localStorage. Designed and developed by Abdullah Tarar at Famst Agency.
