The name Todolist sounds deliberately modest. Open the application, though, and the checklist is only the front door to a much larger idea: one personal workspace for nearly everything people normally spread across separate apps.
Its guiding promise is “Organize your future, today.” Instead of forcing every feature on every user, Todolist treats much of the workspace as optional add-ons. The result can remain a focused task manager or grow into a complete personal productivity operating system.
The task manager at the center
Tasks support custom lists, subtasks, due dates, priorities, completion tracking, filters, and drag-and-drop ordering. Smart Today, Upcoming, and Overdue views answer the three questions users ask most often without requiring them to manually reorganize their lists.
Personal information that should not need six apps
The Notepad handles both quick captures and longer notes, with private sharing links when information needs to move outside the account. Birthday Reminders keep important dates visible. The Trip Planner collects destinations, itinerary details, and estimated expenses into a plan that can be shared with fellow travelers.
The Saving Manager adds goal-based money tracking. Users define a purpose, choose a currency, record transactions, and watch progress on a visual dashboard. Business Ideas gets its own structured notebook and AI-assisted summaries, making it easier to capture a rough thought and turn it into something communicable.
A productivity suite with a writers room
One of the most unusual modules is the Story Publisher. Writers can organize projects, work with an AI companion, publish stories and collections to public reading pages, and receive feedback or questions from readers. It is not a small utility bolted onto the side; it extends Todolist from personal organization into creative publishing.
Private habit tracking
The optional NoFap Journey module provides streak tracking, milestones, a calendar, urge logging, relapse history, analytics, AI-generated advice, and an optional PIN lock. Keeping this module optional and protectable reflects the product’s larger principle: sensitive personal tools should adapt to the user rather than become mandatory clutter.
The add-on store is the real product idea
A broad suite can easily become overwhelming. Todolist addresses that with an internal add-on store where modules can be searched, enabled, or removed. Each account gets the scope it actually needs. A global search then makes tasks, descriptions, and subtasks discoverable across that customized workspace.
Web, cloud, and mobile
The front end uses React 18, TypeScript, Vite, React Router, Tailwind CSS, TanStack Query, React Hook Form, Zod, and accessible Radix-style components. Supabase handles user authentication and cloud data. Capacitor provides Android and iOS packaging, while public sharing routes allow selected notes, birthdays, ideas, trips, stories, and collections to reach people without requiring an account.
Todolist succeeds because it does not merely add features to a checklist. It gives those features a shared account, a shared search experience, consistent design, and user-controlled modularity.
