Why Slow Messaging?
Because anticipation is a feeling instant messaging killed. With Love Lock, the message you write today is a small time capsule your partner opens a month from now. What were you feeling thirty days ago? They are about to find out. And because each of you writes daily, there is always another capsule about to unlock — a steady drip of the recent past arriving in the present.
How It Works
- Sign up and verify — account creation with email OTP verification.
- Invite your partner — a private invite link pairs exactly two people into a shared space.
- Write daily — one message per partner per day. The dashboard tracks your shared streak, and the streak resets if a day is missed. Consistency is the whole game.
- Wait (or don't) — messages unlock after 30 days. For the moments that can't wait, an Emergency Unlock exists: a shared secret key that opens messages early. Use it, and a new key must be created — so unlocking early is always a deliberate, shared decision, never a habit.
